Suspension Rule Update:
As you will all be aware following the New Rules Seminars there is now a set penalty for any player who is suspended from a match. The penalty is 2 minutes. Within the County League we hope we will never have to apply this regulation however if we do then it will be applied in the following way.
Division 1 & 2 - Scorers must ensure that they are ready to time the 2 minutes in the event that a player is suspended. So as well as pen and paper all scorers must have with them either a stopwatch or a phone with a timer.
Division 3 and below - as we operate on central timing it isn't practicable for the team on duty to time any suspension. So in Division 3 and below the penalty for a suspended player will be 3 goals.

iNFORMATION FOR ALL tEAMS AND pLAYERS
Duty Night – every club will have at least one duty night during the season. If you have more than one team you may have two or more.
Shared Duty Nights – teams playing on a Tuesday night will have one Duty Night and a shared Duty Night. If you are sharing a Duty Night please speak to the other team beforehand so you don’t both turn up to do the same half.
Every team will have one less match than the number of teams in their division – if you are in a division of 10 teams you will have 9 matches, etc.. Please find all your matches at the start of the season and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any problems finding them.
Every team will have the same number of umpiring commitments as matches. Your umpiring commitments will nearly always be on the same night as your match but not necessarily on the same court. The exception to this will be Divisions 1 and 2 where umpiring commitments may be on different nights to avoid clashes. Remember that if you are allocated to provide the umpire for a match involving a team from your club you must supply a neutral umpire – please don’t rely on being able to swap on the night as that isn’t always possible.
League Rules – please read these and ensure your captains are familiar with them. Captains should carry a copy with them (or their handbook) for reference. Most rules have to be applied on the night and can’t be applied to a match retrospectively. So if there are issues it is important that you raise them with the Umpires on the night so they can take appropriate action if they feel it is appropriate and in line with the League Rules.
Umpires – please ensure that all the umpires in your club have a copy of the League Rules. Again they should carry a copy with them (or their handbook). The application of most league rules is the responsibility of the officials on the night.
Cancellation of matches – remember that under the League Rules if you cancel a match and don’t offer a friendly you are automatically liable to a monetary fine.
Result and team sheets for all the teams in your club were handed to your representative at the AGM. If you have more than one team don’t forget to pass their sheets on to them!

Club announcement - league full

Club Announcement
The Tyne and Wear County Netball leagues are currently full with no space for new clubs. Analysis has shown that this is to some extent because clubs who are clearly from neighbouring counties are choosing to play in Tyne and Wear rather than their home counties. Following discussions between North Durham and Tyne and Wear County Netball Associations it has been agreed to introduce the following requirement from the winter season 2016.
All netball clubs will be allocated to one of the two netball counties based on the geographical location of their regular training base.
