Survey Results Handout from AGM 2017 |
Thank you everyone for submitting your online questionnaire replies. Following feedback at the recent AGM we are publishing the headline results from the submissions from the Club Secretaries. At the AGM we highlighted some of the items we would be discussing further at the next Committee meeting with a view to amending the regulations for the Spring League or for the Winter League 2018. If you would like to be involved in these discussions or wish to submit views please send them to the County Secretary, [email protected]
From May to December 2017 we are giving away 30 monthly donations of £750 each to purchase sports kits and equipment for teams and individuals aged 21 and under.
In January 2018 our 30 businesses will choose one entry to go forward into our national competition. The national prize is a massive £200,000 for you, your club or team. And we’re not stopping there. We also have two runners up prizes of £50,000 each and 27 finalist awards of £5,000 each. So what are you waiting for? Apply today. Did you know that you can now have a say who wins a national Goalden Globe Award?
For the first time ever selected categories have been opened in the illustrious Goalden Globe Awards for our netballers to have their say on who should win the National award! In total, public voting will select eight of our winners who will be presented with their awards at a lavish ceremony to be hosted at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham on Saturday 16th September. T&W nominees are:

Tyne and Wear County Netball Association would like to confirm that the AGM is being held on Wednesday 19th July 2017, not the 26th July as mentioned in the handbook.
The Tyne and Wear Umpiring Seminars for this season will take place on Thursday 7th September and Wednesday 13th September. They will both be at Blue Flames. Starting time is 6.45 pm. These are the only two planned dates for the umpiring seminars this year so all umpires must attend one of these seminars or they will not be eligible to umpire in the Winter Season County League.
ANYONE is welcome to attend the Seminar regardless of whether they umpire, coach or just play. Improving everyone’s knowledge of the rules of the game can only help to improve the quality of netball on the court. The seminars will cover the rules of the game and also clarify some local league rules which have raised issues over the winter season. Please note the following:
