Throughout the whole day £950 was raised with £6150 being raised over the last eight years in aid of The Clarke Lister Brain Haemorrhage Foundation which is a local North East charity.
Clarke’s mother Carole Lister started up the charity after ten year old Clarke died of a Brain Haemorrhage without warning. Each year over 15,500 people are treated nationally of which there are over 1000 people within the North East. 38% of sufferers are left severely handicapped and in need of care 24/7 and 58% of sufferers will die.
Thanks to all who helped with the organising, tombola, refreshments, timing and umpiring. A special thanks to Walbottle Campus who provided the courts at a significantly reduced price and friends for their donations of prizes. The day would not have run as smoothly without their help!
