Further to the Satellite Academy trials that took place on 12 October 2014, we are pleased to announce the players who have been successfully selected to be part of the Satellite 1 and Satellite 2 Academy. Successful athlete should CLICK HERE to download Athlete Info Pack
Satellite 1
| The first Satellite 1 training session will take place: Date: Sunday 2 November 2014 Venue: Gateshead Leisure Centre Time: 6 – 8pm. All players should be ready to start training at 6pm. The dates for the training sessions up until Christmas are as follows:
The training dates for 2015 will be provided at the first training session. The Satellite 1 lead coach is Deborah Percy and the assistant coach is Alex Rhodes. Should players/parents/coaches have any queries you can contact Deborah on [email protected]. |
Satellite 2
| The first Satellite 2 training session will take place: Date: Thursday 23 October 2014 Venue: Newcastle Girls High School Time: 5:30 – 7pm. All players should be ready to start training at 5:30pm. The dates for the training sessions up until Christmas are as follows:

The cost to attend the Satellite Academies is £65 per player and cheques should be brought to the first training session (payable to Tyne and Wear Netball Association). Athletes should check with their school to see if there is funding available through Gifted and Talented to assist with costs.
All players are expected to attend every training session AND attend their club training sessions and matches.
The Parent/Guardian/Carer of each player who has been successfully selected must complete the Consent Form and this must be handed to the coach at the first training session fully completed.

Please be assured that all young players in the County throughout the season will be observed at Junior competition events. The system is fluid and therefore should a player be identified during the season who is progressing well and we believe should be included in the Satellite academy they will be invited to attend training.
