Each year Tyne and Wear County review the league rules and also look for ways to improve competition for you, our members. The link below will take you to a short Questionnaire - just 9 questions. Please complete a Questionnaire to let us have your views on the current leagues, particularly the local rules and regulations that we play to. We are also interested in how we can increase opportunities to play netball, especially providing opportunities for new players. Finally there is a lot of work involved in delivering playing opportunities so we are looking for ways that clubs can contribute to ensure our leagues run smoothly.
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/6M8XN9D Net Gains is founded by England international and Team Northumbria NSL player Leah Kennedy. In 2016, Kennedy was one of the first athletes to be offered a full time England contract and was the first North Eastern born and bred player to make her senior international cap in over ten years. Whilst training and playing full time Kennedy created Net Gains to be able to share her knowledge gained from the international coaches such as Tracey Neville, Tearoha Keenan, Kate Carpenter and Lisa Stanley- Craig she has been lucky enough to play for. Kennedy is a level 2 netball coach currently coaching the netball programme at Dame Allan’s School and GALs Netball club. She has also been doing some defence coaching at Team Northumbria NSL. Net Gains offers several netball services to meet the clients needs including netball sessions, masterclasses, session plans and coaching workshops. We currently have dates available throughout May, June and the beginning of July. If you wish to have Leah Kennedy come into your club providing a service to encourage and inspire your netballers, please do not hesitate to get in contact for further information. The trials will take place on 24 June 2017 at Sports Central, satellite in the morning and county in the afternoon. Please find links below to the following: 1. Nomination form for Satellite trials (I would suggest a maximum of 20 nominations, if you wish to nominate more please contact me) 2. Nomination form for County Academy trials. 3. Letter re trials for satellite players nominated. 4. Letter re trials for county academy players nominated. Those players who demonstrate game sense, display tactical understanding, shows consistency in making appropriate decisions, is committed and driven and committed to learning and improving their performance should be nominated for trials. Please be selective as to which players you send. Part of the criteria for the Academy is that players are committed to club, therefore please only nominate those who attend each and every training session and make themselves available for all matches. Please note the trials are for NEXT season, therefore the age banding is in respect of their ages in the next school year, for example, satellite is for those players who are in year 7, 8, and 9 as of September 2017, and County is for those in year 10 and year 11 as of September 2017. There may be exceptions where younger players may be invited to attend the county trials. Can you please ensure you complete the form electronically with ALL the information required and return to me by the deadline, Monday 12 June 2016, to enable me to prepare for the trials. Those players who were in the system this season, if they wish to trial again, must be nominated again. This is a notification that the AGM of the Association will be held on Wednesday 19th at Blue Flames Sporting Club, at 7pm. At least two members of your club must attend for the duration of the whole meeting (although more would be welcome).
